M.2 PCIE NVME SSD controller equipped with an 8-channel high-performance PCIe Gen3 x4 SSD controller ideally suited for client SSDs. It supports simultaneous data flow via four 8Gbps lanes (PCIe Gen3 x4) and eight NAND channels. SSD solutions delivered by this controller offer ultra-high performance and higher reliability thanks to its full support of PCIe 3.1 and NVMe 1.3 specifications. The controller also delivers ultra-low power consumption when in active or low-power mode due to its low-power design.
In addition to supporting 3D NAND from all major NAND suppliers, the Controller is also a complete merchant ASIC/firmware solution. SRAM ECC and End to End data path protection ensure comprehensive data security through Silicon Motion's proprietary NANDXtendTM error-correcting code (ECC) technology. The SM2262EN SSD controller has a high performance PCIe Gen3 x4 and 8 NAND channels. Additionally, the SSD controller has an embedded programmable RAID. The controller has best-in-class low power: PS3: 50mW as well as PS4 (L1.2): *5 mW.
